  • The name ‘bergamot’ derives from the region of Bergamo in northern Italy, where the trees were originally cultivated. These trees, which are now grown in southern Italy, can reach a height of up to 5 metres. Bergamot essential oil differs from other citrus oils in its composition and properties. It is considerably more expensive and is highly prized by perfume manufacturers due to its wonderfully refreshing aroma.
