    It is a hard wax for the production of cosmetics and candles 

  • Carnauba wax is a natural vegetable wax obtained from the Brazilian palm Copernicia cerifera. It is a hard wax suitable as an additive to creams, butters, lipsticks, balms. In cosmetics, carnauba wax is used as a consistency-regulating ingredient. It gives products excellent shape retention for a longer period of time. Carnauba wax can be used in candle making. Using it together with soy or paraffin wax gives the candles more hardness (less deformation of the candle), more beautiful shine, longer burning time, better heat resistance. It can be a great alternative to beeswax for people with allergies to bee products or for vegans.

    When should you use Carnauba wax in candle making?

    • if you want stronger, heat resistant candles
    • if you are making candles for warmer climates
    • if you are aiming for a higher quality "premium" effect

    In candle making, only a small proportion of Carnauba wax (e.g. 5-10%) is usually used in the total wax mixture.

    Melting point 80-85 degrees.
