Our liquid dyes are the most soluble colourant available. Use them when you want a candle to be dyed throughout (not over-dipping) or for creating a full range of colours for stains and varnishes. Liquid dyes are also the right choice for colouring lubricants and fuel oils.
The dyes are very efficient and the ratio is 0.1 - 0.2% to the weight of selected product (vegetable wax or reed diffuser), so a 2 gram portion will color about 1-2 kg of product per color.

Factors that may affect the amount of dye required for the desired shade include:
■ The opacity of the wax
■ Wax additives such as stearic acid, polymers and microcrystalline wax
■ Fragrance Some fragrances can react with the dyes resulting in a brownish or grayish cast.Recommendations:
When measuring dyes, measure by weight or by volume—do not alternatemethod of measurement between batches. Measuring the same product by weight or by volume will give you different results, so be consistent withthe chosen method that suits your manufacturing process. The recommended temperature for manufacturing with dyes is about 85ºC.Working at higher temperatures or prolonged exposure to heat can degrade the colours, causing fading or colour alteration to appear. Dyes should be stored under ambient conditions with containers kept closed.
Usage in Vegetable Wax and Liquid:
Pale Shades - 0,005 - 0,010 %
Medium Shades - 0,010- 0,05%
Dark Shades - 0,05 - 0,1%
Please test thoroughly in small batches to help prevent colour/fragrance issues.
